Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using SkiSplit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SkiSplit is a platform that connects skiers who want to share private ski lessons. We facilitate introductions between users but do not provide ski instruction ourselves. Users are responsible for booking and paying for lessons directly with their chosen ski school.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Access

During our community-building phase, SkiSplit is free to use. This grants you access to the Service for the 2025/26 ski season (until 30 June 2026).

Future seasons may require a fee. We will notify users in advance of any pricing changes.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users through messages or other interactions
• Provide false or misleading information in your profile or communications
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts
• Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited communications

6. Limitation of Liability

SkiSplit is a matching platform only. We are not responsible for:

• The quality, safety, or legality of ski lessons booked through third-party ski schools
• The conduct or reliability of other users you connect with
• Any injuries, accidents, or damages that occur during ski lessons
• The availability of matches at your chosen resort and dates

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkiSplit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. No Guarantee of Matches

We are actively building our community of skiers. While we strive to help you find suitable lesson partners, we cannot guarantee that matches will be available at your chosen resort, dates, or ability level. The effectiveness of the Service depends on the number of users in each location.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SkiSplit and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may request account deletion by contacting us at oli@skisplit.com.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles.
